We are so excited to share this with you all! It's been a labor of love! When we first designed this bling crop back in Jan of 2020 (feels like a century ago LOL), it was really just a dream! We weren't sure how we could create and offer such a luxe design within our brand's affordable price point. One thing we were adamant on was we were not going to compromise on the quality. The problem was the high cost of raw materials for our design and the going market retail rate for such items being in the $100 - $150 price range. Which was not in line with our pricing philosophy. One of our founding principles has always been fashion should be affordable and accessible by its admirers. After countless months of sourcing different materials and designing every detail of the crop we finally were able to make the PERFECT BLING CROP SWEATSHIRT. We even went as far as designing new labels for these crops. Our signature labels are ribbon tags that didn't feel comfortable on our new Sherni Bling Crop Sweatshirt. So we went back to the drawing board to design & create a new tag that lays flat on the nape of the neck. It was expensive to source and manufacture but we viewed it as an investment in providing the best wearing experience for our customers. We are so happy that we did not comprise on our values of creativity, sustainability, and accessible pricing. We sourced our fleece cropped sweatshirt from a manufacture that guarantees 100% no sweatshops are used in production and is an eco-friendly production. As a "slow fashion" indie fashion label this is more important to our brand's values than following the industry's profit margin benchmarks. By keeping our profit margin much lower than industry standard we are able to not compromise on our values and create beautiful clothing & products we truly love & are loved by our customers. đNow that we shared more about the backend of the design, economics, & sourcing let's dive into the beauty that is our đSherni Bling Crop Sweatshirt!!!đ Pictures and videos do ZERO justice to how gorgeous and stunning this bling crop is! This is our FAV Drop yet!!đ Yes, we know thatâs a BIG statement!đđđâ¨During this era of fashion you never saw ANY BROWN GIRL REPRESENTATION at all! When we set out to create our brand, Sherni Streetwear, we made a pack to constantly push the envelope and raise the bar. We did not want to create a low effort, generic print on demand business you see Instagram riddled with (lol no shade intended). Growing up in a family of fashion designers and clothing manufactures we had been apprenticing our whole lives in the fashion industry. We have seen brands built from the bottom up from the concept, design, sourcing fabric, in house tailoring, in house manufacturing, to resale, & wholesaling. Fashion is one of the hardest industries to succeed in especially when creating a brand from scratch. We always knew this is not an easy path. We were moved to create Sherni Streetwear because there was such a gap for authentic South Asian voices in fashion. Why should South Asians continue to hide their culture and voice? We are not side characters or tokenized afterthoughts, we are the main actors and deserve to be center stage. We created this brand for everyone who comes in contact with it from visiting our social media to wearing our clothes to feel inspired and feel magical. This Sherni Bling Crop Sweatshirt is bringing all of our passions and celebration of our dual cultures to the forefront and shining unapologetically! đđâ¨
